These terms apply to the services of MAVIK Tax & Bookkeeping (“MAVIK”, “we”). By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to them.
1. Our services
We prepare federal tax returns and related forms, provide bookkeeping and payroll services, and help with business filings described on this website. Tax returns are prepared and electronically filed in alliance with our partner firm, Paredes Puma. The specific work for each client is confirmed before we begin.
2. What we don’t do
MAVIK is not the IRS and is not affiliated with any government agency. We do not provide legal advice or immigration services. For audits, appeals or collection cases that require formal representation before the IRS, we will refer you to an enrolled agent, CPA or attorney.
3. Your responsibilities
- Give us complete and accurate information and tell us about all of your income.
- Review your return before you sign it. By signing, you confirm it is true and complete to the best of your knowledge.
- Keep your own records and receipts that support your return.
- Tell us promptly if you receive a letter from the IRS or any tax authority.
4. Prices and payment
- Our published prices are starting prices. We confirm your exact price before any work begins, and we ask before doing anything that would change it.
- Early-filer pricing applies to appointments booked by the date shown on the pricing page. After that date, regular prices apply. For monthly services, early-filer pricing applies to the first three months.
- Fees charged by the State of Florida or other agencies are listed separately and are not ours.
- Tax preparation fees are due when your return is ready to file, unless we agree otherwise. Monthly services are billed in advance each month.
- Bookkeeping clients receive their business tax return at 50% off the published price while their bookkeeping is current.
5. Refunds and timing
We cannot guarantee the amount of any tax refund or when the IRS will issue it; that depends on your situation and on the IRS. If you cancel before we start working on your return, you owe nothing. If you cancel after we have started, you pay only for the work completed.
6. Monthly services
Bookkeeping and payroll are month-to-month. You can cancel at any time with notice before your next billing date. If your volume regularly exceeds your plan, we will let you know before changing your price.
7. Errors
If we make an error in a return we prepared, we will correct it at no charge. If the IRS charges a penalty caused solely by our error, we will reimburse that penalty (not the tax itself or interest on tax you owed). This does not apply to errors caused by incomplete or inaccurate information you gave us.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the fees you paid for the service in question.
9. Communications
You agree that we may contact you by phone, text, WhatsApp or email about your services. See our Privacy Policy for how we protect your information.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Orange County, Florida.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The version posted on this page, with its date, is the one that applies.
